Framed, semi-frameless or frameless

One local team, made to suit your bathroom. Not sure which is right for you? Here is the rundown, and we are happy to talk it through when we come out to measure.

Traditional and sturdiest

Framed shower screens

A full aluminium frame around the glass gives a solid, reliable screen that seals well and stands up to everyday knocks. That makes framed screens a sensible pick for a busy family bathroom, young kids or older householders. Available with a hinged or sliding door to suit your space.

Semi-frameless shower screens

The best balance of looks and price. A semi-frameless screen keeps a slim frame on the fixed panels for strength, while the door goes frameless for a cleaner, more open feel. Available custom-made to your bathroom, or as a standard package to keep the cost down.

High-end and minimalist

Frameless shower screens

Thick, freestanding glass panels with no surrounding frame, so the bathroom feels open and the glass does the talking. With minimal hardware, the layout keeps the water where it should be, so we plan the panel positions and door swing to the fall of your floor.

Custom-made to fit, or a shower screen kit to fit yourself

Most of our shower screens are custom-made and installed by our own team, measured to your bathroom so the fit is neat and the glass sits right. If you are a confident renovator or handyperson, we can also supply a standard kit for you to fit yourself. Either way, you are dealing with a real local glazier, not an anonymous online order.

Custom-made and installed

We measure, make and fit the whole screen. Our most popular choice.

Supply-only DIY kit

A standard-size kit supplied for you to install, handy for straightforward bathrooms and tighter budgets.

Safety glass, finished the way you want it

Every shower screen we make uses grade-A safety glass to Australian Standard AS 2208, so it is built to break safely if it is ever knocked hard enough. Beyond clear glass, we can supply a few more options.
Framed and semi-frameless screens generally use 6mm glass, and frameless screens use 10mm. We match the glass and the hardware to how the bathroom is used and how you want it to look.
If you are weighing up privacy, a frosted panel is a common choice for an ensuite or a shared bathroom. Tell us about the room and we will talk you through it.

Options we can supply

Shower screen playing up? We repair as well as replace

You do not always need a whole new screen. We repair common shower screen faults, subject to parts availability.

Worn rollers

Rollers that have worn out, so a sliding door drags or jumps its track. New rollers get the door running smoothly again.

Perished seals and wipes

Seals and wipes that have perished and let water through. We replace them so the screen keeps the water in the shower.

Cracked or broken panels

Cracked or broken panels replaced with new safety glass, matched to the screen you have.
If a panel has smashed and the bathroom needs making-safe quickly, that can be handled by our glass repair and replacement team too.

Getting your shower screen sorted is simple

From your first call to a screen fitted neatly by our own team.
01

Tell us about the bathroom

Call the shop or send a few details and photos through the form, and we will give you an estimate over the phone.
02

We come out and measure, free

No call-out fee, and honest advice on which type suits your space and budget.
03

We make it to fit

Made-to-measure screens have a short lead time, usually around 10 to 14 days, which we confirm when we quote.
04

Installed neatly by our own team

Fitted properly, cleaned up, and backed by a local business that is still here if you ever need us again.

What goes into the price of a shower screen

Every bathroom is different, so we quote after a free measure. As a guide, the price mostly comes down to three things.
01

The type

Semi-frameless is generally the most affordable, framed sits in the middle, and frameless costs the most because it uses thicker glass and hardware.
02

Custom versus standard

A made-to-measure screen costs more than a standard kit, but fits an odd-shaped or renovated bathroom properly.
03

Size, glass thickness and finish

Larger openings, 10mm frameless glass, and frosted or specialty glass all add to the cost.
Tell us about the job and we will give you a fair, honest figure. There is no charge to come out and measure.

Your shower screen questions answered

Which shower screen is best: framed, semi-frameless or frameless?

It depends on your bathroom and budget. Framed is the sturdiest and most affordable, and seals well, which suits busy family bathrooms. Semi-frameless is our most popular, with a cleaner look for a fair price. Frameless is the high-end, open, minimalist option. We will talk you through it when we measure.

Is the glass in a shower screen safe?

Yes. Every screen we make uses safety glass to Australian Standard AS 2208, so it is designed to break safely. Framed and semi-frameless screens generally use 6mm glass, and frameless screens use 10mm.

Can you make a shower screen to fit an unusual or renovated bathroom?

Yes. Most of our screens are custom-made and measured to your bathroom, so an odd shape, a step or a new tiled wet area is no problem. We measure before we make anything.

Do you supply DIY shower screen kits?

We do. If you are a confident renovator or handyperson, we can supply a standard kit for you to fit yourself, as well as our custom-made and installed screens.

Do frameless shower screens leak?

A frameless screen has no full frame or seal, so there can be a small gap and a little water can occasionally escape. It is easily managed with the right layout, and we will plan it with you so it is not an issue.

How long does a shower screen take?

A made-to-measure screen usually takes around 10 to 14 days from measure to install, which we confirm when we quote.

Do you charge for a quote?

No. There is no call-out fee to come out, measure and give you a price, and we can often give you an estimate over the phone first.
